Welcome Snow Birds! Enjoy our winter sunshine and mild weather. Long term rentals welcome! Bring your family down for the holidays. See the San Antonio Riverwalk festooned in Christmas lights. Take in the Stock Show and Rodeo in February, and Fiesta in April. Come enjoy our beautiful three bedroom home (king bed in first floor master bedroom). The home sleeps 10 comfortably. There are three full baths. There is a large (covered) outdoor deck with an incredible view of the lake. Description: An expansive view of the crystal blue waters of Canyon Lake will greet you from almost every room in this rustic, comfortable three bedroom home. The house overlooks the deepest part of the lake (near the dam) where, at almost any time of day, beautiful sailboats glide across the peaceful turquoise water. Look just off to the west in the evening and you'll likely catch a colorful sunset over the nearby hills. The large master bedroom suite, with a comfortable king size bed, is located on the first floor; a luxurious spa tub with separate shower is located in the master bath. The great room area, with generous views of the lake out every window, has comfortable reclining leather sofas and chairs, a flat screen TV, and a wood-burning fireplace. The open concept dining room easily seats eight. The fully equipped kitchen, complete with double oven and granite countertops, will make meal preparation a breeze. Pull a barstool up to the huge center island and enjoy a quick meal. A full laundry room is located conveniently off the kitchen. There is also another bedroom/office on the main floor with a convenient futon/double bed for extra overnight guests. Wireless internet service can be arranged (at an extra cost). Upstairs, in the second bedroom, a double/double bunk bed entices the younger crowd, as well as the captivating view from their own private deck. Youngsters will be delighted with the "secret hideaway" playroom off their bedroom, fully stocked with games, toys, beanbag chairs, and a foosball/air hockey table. Last but not least, we have nicknamed our third bedroom the "tree house", as it looks down on the lake from its' high vantage point through it's extensive windows. This room, equipped with a Murphy queen bed, also includes a dry sauna for a luxurious break from the ordinary. Outside, enjoy the day on the covered porch, with it's 70+ foot wrap around deck. A convenient combination gas/charcoal grill, and tables with plenty of chairs will make for an enjoyable respite, whether just enjoying the view or having a meal or quiet drink. A cool water "mister" is set up here for those warm Texas afternoons. Canyon Lake has fishing year round; bring your boat or rent from several different establishments on the lake. (Military discounts are available.) The house is situated on the southern end of the lake, convenient to both Austin and San Antonio, as well as to the smaller getaway towns of New Braunfels, Wimberley, San Marcus (outlet malls), Gruene and Boerne. Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Sea World, and the Riverwalk in San Antonio are all an easy drive away. The nearby town of Sattler hosts extensive tubing outlets on the Guadalupe River, as well as numerous restaurants and bars.
